Rumors had been flying around that Matt Moran was popping down to Adelaide and as it turned out it was for the opening of the new Minimax on Norwood Parade. Minimax is a homeware store that started out in Melbourne and has grown in numbers since. It is a family owned and operated business with the focus on caring about what the customer buys. This level of attention and love is obvious with the warm welcome we received.
Tonight we were treated to a cooking demonstration with Matt Moran assisted by Adelaide’s very own Callum Hann from Sprout Cooking. Scanpan were major sponsors so all their beautiful cookware that Ling would go broke for were on display and of course in use at the demo to showcase their collection. After that we were given time to wander around and explore the store. Norwood is indeed quite the perfect home for such a store as it fits the cast of a classy shopping precinct with its designer range homeware and cooking accessories. As I was delving deeper into the store I was seeing children’s books, Kitchen Aids, glassware, funky kitchen utensils I never knew existed and more. The store has a great layout making it easy to get lost in this wonderland.
There is also a wall of candles so if you have a blackout you know where to come for light with a tantalising fragrance.
They even have their own rewards program with new deals and offers coming month to month. The current deal ends on October 2nd which is to win a $500 gift card every day so it’s a great time to check it out and possibly have a free shop! In a nutshell it’s a one stop shop for nearly anything you need for your home and these days if we can save time on shopping we can spend more time trying out new cafes and restaurants!
DIsclaimer: Foodie Ling was invited as a guest of Minimax
