Dee here, substituting for Ling whilst she went away for a weekend getaway! So whilst she got to enjoy the Sydney sunshine, she missed out on having a homely Italian feast at Carmine & Co restaurant in Port Adelaide. Looks like Ling and Mr Foodie himself will need to get down to the Port pronto in the weeks to come!
Carmine & Co, a traditional Italian fine dining restaurant has been in the Port for over 40 years and just recently, they have relocated to the hub and resurgence of restaurants in Port Adelaide on Commercial Road where they had full reigns on how they wanted the space to look like. Just stepping foot into the restaurant felt like we were whisked away into the middle of Italy whilst the sun was setting amongst the rolling hills with its deep warm rays streaming through the restaurant. So. Nice!
Oh boy, were we treated to an epic feast or what. The night was filled with authentic and home-made Italian food. We all happily rolled out of Carmine’s satisfied… very very satisfied. The Carmine & Co family was all in attendance along with loveable Nonna Vicky who explained some of her delectable dishes whilst not giving away any secrets!
