The Coopers range has never really bowled me over but I thought I would give this one a try. It was not a bad stout actually and quite easy to sink down. The body is on the lighter side than what I normally go for. This would be good in reaching a wider audience as some are intimidated by the heavy punch a stout can pack. The alcohol content sits at 6.3% so go easy tiger. The usual tasting notes are of a subtle coffee and nutty flavour but no one taste is dominant. This is a stout that tastes purely of a stout if you follow my meaning. I could see myself ordering a pint at the pub if it is on tap but I will always migrate to the heavier silky stouts if available.
