A brew familiar to me. I have had this beer as an old favourite for a while and I still keep coming back to it for its great taste and body. Newcastle Brown Ale was originally produced in Newcastle upon Tyne from 1927 but now brewed by Heineken at the John Smith’s Brewery in Tadcaster, North Yorkshire since 2010. The alcohol content is 4.7% and medium to low carbonation. Flavours of a caramel apple come to mind when enjoying this dark ale. There is a low bitterness level so if you can tell by now, this works well for me! I never get sick of this ale and the only thing stopping me buying tons of it is the price tag here in Australia as it is an import. Try this one out if you like a sweeter ale with interesting flavours and are looking for a great companion with some pulled pork!
