A while back I decided to host a Malaysian night just to introduce some Malaysian food to my partner’s family. Thankfully they were fairly adventurous and enjoyed it very much. It was a huge effort and took both of us practically all day to do everything but the food was so worth it in the end.

For the main meal I served up nasi lemak, beef rendang, ayam masak merah (red cooked chicken) and butter prawns. For a more detailed descripton of the dish click on the menu picture to enlarge it. The aroma was incredibly appetizing and presentation was colourful.

It was a great night had by all. Good food, good wine, great company. Exhausting but 110% worth it. I will post the recipes separately in different posts as they are quite wordy.
